# Settings

Open Settings from the capsule or the tray icon. It's a normal window: resize it, maximize it, snap it wherever you like.

## General and startup [#general-and-startup]

* **Language.**
* **Monitor.** Let the capsule follow your active host (the default) or pin it to one monitor.
* **Launch at login.** Start Knosy when you sign in.
* **Automatic scope picker.** Whether a first prompt in Claude Code or Codex opens the picker. See [The scope picker](/docs/concepts/scope-picker).

## Appearance [#appearance]

The Settings window follows **System**, **Light**, or **Dark**, your choice. The capsule itself always stays dark; that's its identity on top of your screen.

## Notifications and sound [#notifications-and-sound]

Both are **off by default**. Turn them on if you want a nudge when a session needs you; the capsule alone is designed to be enough.

## Shortcut [#shortcut]

The global shortcut defaults to `Ctrl+Alt+K` and is fully configurable. If another app already owns your chosen shortcut, Knosy shows the conflict clearly instead of silently doing nothing.

## Integrations [#integrations]

Connect, repair, or remove the Claude Code and Codex integrations, and see each one's status, including Codex's trust step. Every change is backed up first and fully reversible. New hosts appear here as they become available. More in [Hosts](/docs/hosts).

## Demo controls [#demo-controls]

This version includes Demo controls that let you trigger any session state with sample events, so you can see exactly how the capsule behaves before wiring it into your day. Everything they produce is clearly marked as demo.

## About and diagnostics [#about-and-diagnostics]

Version info and a local diagnostics view for troubleshooting. Diagnostics stay on your machine, and anything you copy from them is scrubbed of prompts, file contents, and identifiers first. More in [Privacy](/docs/privacy).
