Beta

How the beta works, what's limited today, and what's coming next.

Knosy is in an invite-only beta. Everything included is meant to be polished; where something isn't ready yet, it's left out rather than shipped half-working. This page is the honest list of what that means today.

How the beta works

  • Invitations only. Accounts are set up by the Knosy team. Invitations may be paused temporarily when capacity or support load asks for it.
  • No billing. Nothing is charged during the beta.
  • Managed cloud. Your team's shared context and memories live in Knosy Cloud, run by Knosy. There is no self-hosted edition.
  • Automatic updates. Beta installs keep themselves current on Windows and macOS, so fixes reach you without a manual download.

Current limitations

Two hosts: Claude Code and Codex

The beta works with Claude Code Desktop and Codex. Claude Chat and Claude Cowork are coming soon and will appear in Settings when available. See Hosts.

One team per account

Each account belongs to exactly one team, and there is no switching between teams or organizations yet. The foundations for multiple teams and organizations exist; the beta simply doesn't expose them.

Three roles, no guests

Teams have Owners, Admins, and Members. There is no guest or external-collaborator access in the beta; everyone you invite is a full member of the team. See Roles and permissions.

English interface

The interface ships in English. Your context files and memories work in any language.

Plain-text context only

Context files must be plain text (UTF-8). Binary files, and text in other encodings, are rejected with a clear message rather than half-supported. You edit context files with your own editor; Knosy doesn't include one.

No version history

Knosy keeps the current version of shared context and memories, not their past revisions, and there is no rollback. If a file's history matters to you, keep it in a tool made for that, like a git repository, and publish to Knosy from there.

Publishing is explicit

Local edits never sync silently. Your teammates see a change only when it's published, and until then Knosy shows the file as not yet published. This is deliberate, and it also means there is no automatic two-way sync to rely on.

Coming next

  • Claude Chat and Claude Cowork support.
  • Multiple teams and organizations per account.

Found something rough?

That's what the beta is for. Tell the Knosy team through the channel that came with your invitation, and the more specific the report, the faster it gets fixed.
